CHAMPION CHURCH

Baby Dedication

Presenting your child to the Lord,
surrounded by your church family.

Every child is a gift from God.
A baby dedication is a moment when you, as parents, publicly commit to raise your child in the love and knowledge of Jesus, and when your church family promises to walk with you.
It isn't a baptism, and it doesn't save your child. It's a promise made by you, in front of God and the people who love you, to lead your child toward Christ. The Bible is full of this kind of moment, from Hannah presenting Samuel to the Lord, to Mary and Joseph bringing Jesus to the temple, to Jesus welcoming little children and blessing them.
What to expect
  • Dedications happen during our Sunday services.
  • Pastor Stephen and LaCinda will pray over your family and your child by name.
  • You'll be asked to make a short commitment as parents, and the congregation will be invited to commit to supporting you.
  • Family and friends are welcome and encouraged to come and celebrate with you.
  • Plan to arrive [15 minutes] early so we can get your family settled.
Who may dedicate a child at Champion Church?
Any family who calls Champion Church home, or who wants to, is welcome. Both parents are encouraged to be present, and single parents, grandparents, and guardians are warmly welcomed too.
